I took the disabled/abled body test a year ago, and was so shocked to learn that I hold a bias towards able bodied people. I’ve thought about that so often since then and recognize it was true about me. Driven by fear (the thought of being disabled) and ignorance (not having much personal experience with disabled people in my life). I found it very valuable and real opportunity to reflect and grow. I’ve sought out information and experience to learn more and I hope that I am changing/ have changed in this regard.
